September 2017 Newsletter

Summer is almost gone and probably my favorite season is coming soon. I used to be a hot weather fan but age seems to have changed that. One of the most exciting things of this summer was the eclipse. It is celebrated with some great shots on the cover and pages 4 & 5. Hugh Comfort even made it to western North Carolina and saw the full eclipse. I saw some clouds.
Hugh has also planned a club field trip to the Greensboro Science Center. I’ve been there a couple of times and there are some great photo ops – inside and outside. Page 3
Mike King is planning a “Macro Photography” program for us in October. Page 7
Sandra is counting on us for the Paramount exhibit in October. Page 8
Guidelines for our Sunrise/Sunset PhotoShow are on page 9.
There are three tutorials in this issue:

Tips for Sunrise and Sunset Photos
Using Your Histogram
We need to be getting our 2017 trip photos to Len as we take them so as not to make Len rush just before the Christmas slide show. This is a great opportunity for us to show our “stuff”.
As usual, I encourage you to let me know what you want to see in our newsletter.
